tonight, from his blue skin

A snake will circle back the mirror
peeling back the shine to feathers

tonight, from his blue skin

a hummingbird of green and blue
will feed from ambrosia spilt from the bruise

tonight, from his blue skin

a heart of honey and seeds
will brighten to screaming

tonight, from his blue skin

he will sweat sea-dew, beneath the dye the sap
beneath his blue-green humming-bird cap

tonight, from his blue skin
